TV Anime "LIAR GAME" first batch of characters & casts information announced!

Nao Kanzaki

Nao is a good-natured and trusting college freshman - so naive, in fact, that she’s earned the nickname “Naive Nao.” Though she often ends up in tears after being deceived, she’s naturally expressive, cheerful, strong-willed, and full of energy. When she’s dragged into the Liar Game, she finds herself turning to a former genius con artist named Akiyama for help.

Shinichi Akiyama

A former genius con artist who served time for fraud after taking down a corrupt multi-level marketing ring. He graduated with a Master's in Psychology from the famous Teito University.
He finds himself unable to turn his back on Nao as she gets involved in the Liar Game and ends up joining in himself. With a razor-sharp mind, precise judgment, and bold strategies, he takes on his opponents without so much as flinching.

Saya Hitomi (voice of Nao Kanzaki)

When I heard that I had passed the audition, my mind went completely blank from the shock and joy, and the moment I said, “I’ll do my best,” tears started to pour out.
Once recording began, I found myself desperately trying to keep up, and I strongly felt that I wanted to grow just like Nao does. Now, I’m wholeheartedly facing the work with that same “foolishly honest” spirit.
Even as she’s tossed around by countless lies, Nao lives with all her heart in her own way—and I’ll give it my all to bring out her charm.

Takeo Otsuka (voice of Shinichi Akiyama)

I was filled with surprise and joy when I learned I’d be involved with LIAR GAME, a series I’ve long been familiar with and fond of.
As a member of the anime LIAR GAME team, I will give my all in voicing Akiyama to ensure that the charm of this series is fully conveyed through animation.
